We are North America's first and only comprehensive science communication program. It is a 10 month joint graduate diploma program between Laurentian University and Science North. Science is woven into decisions that are made at every level of our lives. From international environmental agreements, responses to outbreaks of disease by community agencies, to many of the personal life style choices we make ourselves, understanding the science of the situation is essential for good decisions.
Science communicators transform scientific information into accessible understandable knowledge for the public. Trends in science research, industry, and public policy has prompted a need for trained people in this rapidly growing field.
